Done!

Finally typed the last words of Lily. The Sorority Sisters Duet is complete. I hope everyone will love the journey of Lily and Eric. You will get to see Courtney and Jacob, along with other characters from Courtney. Once I do my final read through, I will send Lily to the editor. I should know a publishing date in the coming weeks. I'll keep everyone updated. Hope you have a great Saturday.

Small scene from Lily

Since I'm closing in on the finish line, I wanted to share a scene with Lily and Eric.

"Uh huh, you don't want people questioning why you have my eyes covered," she mentioned. "I'm sure it looks odd."
"You forget this is Atlanta."
"It's odd for Atlanta," she remarked. "If this was New Orleans, then I'm sure it would look normal."
"Where is your sense of adventure?"
"It went away when you took one of my senses," she said. "Sight is a big part of adventure."
"Your eyes only allow you to see and overpower your other four senses."
"Well the other four are in protest to having to work overtime," she quipped.

Update

Since it has been too long since I've post there are a few updates. I have published my 3rd book. It's called Courtney and is available on all platforms. The 4th book is a follow-up to Courtney called Lily. They make up the Sorority Sisters Duet. I am working on Lily now and it should be published before the end of the year.

I do have a 5th book in the works. It will be another historical. It will be set in Savannah, TN and feature a Confederate POW and a young widow woman. I do not have a name for it, but I expect to begin work on it early 2016.

Here is a treat for everyone, it's a small scene from Lily.

“You have my speech?” he asked as she opened her handbag. “I was joking,” he pointed out holding up his hand to stop her. “Do you really have a speech in there?”

“Of course, I am paid to think of everything, Mr. Worth. If you only knew how many times the main speaker comes without a speech,” she remarked. “Are you sure you don’t need it?”

“I’m sure, but when did you have time to write a speech with planning all of this?” he asked motioning around the room. The woman was amazing if she wrote a speech along with planning this party in the short amount of time he gave her

Lily smiled. “I have my ways, but don’t worry, it is a great speech,” she informed him when she noticed some people start making their way inside the room.

You can add Lily to your goodreads list.

Purchase

Courtney is now available in ebook, paperback, and hardback.

I am also working on my 4th book. It is called Lily and will be Book 2 of the Sorority Sisters Duet. Courtney's best friend, Lily, will take center stage in this one. Here is the blurb for Lily.

Lily Baron’s best friend is getting married. She is the owner of Lilian’s Occasions, one of the best event planning firms in Atlanta. It’s her job to make sure Courtney gets everything she wants to make her wedding day is special. There is only one problem, Courtney’s older brother.

Eric Worth’s baby sister is getting married to his best friend. Due to their mother’s lack of enthusiasm, he is paying for the wedding. He wants to make sure everything is perfect for Courtney. He’s upset when Courtney informs him she’s already hired Lily as her wedding planner without his help. Attraction flares between them as they debate over wedding details.

If they are to make Courtney’s wedding one-of-a kind, Lily and Eric will have to join forces. Will these two independent people come together to create Courtney’s dream wedding? Or will they explode before she walks down the aisle?

3rd Book

I am currently working on my 3rd book. I have switched up a few things. My 3rd and 4th books will be a duet called Sorority Sisters. I will release the names later. They will be standalones but you can read them together. The first one will feature Courtney and Jacob's story. The second will feature Lily and Eric's journey.

I am also outlining a new trilogy. It is still in the beginning stages but I will update when I know more. The leading ladies are Shelby, Abigail, and Scarlett. The trilogy is called The Track.

For those who are unaware, I published my second book in March. Its called The Woman Behind the Letters. You can find it on Amazon, Nook, iTunes, and Smashwords. Don't forget to leave a review once you read it.

I hope everyone has a great Cinco de Mayo!

Blurb

Okay so I hate having to write a blurb or summary for the back of the book. I wanted to tell so much but also keep the secrets. It is a delicate balance and one that I feel like I do not do very well. Thanks to some help from my lovely editor, Jody. I love the blurb for The Woman Behind the Letters. I have a date in mind for publishing but it is still up in the air. I will let everyone know closer to time as I get deeper into the story. I do not want to rush it and have the story line suffer. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Here is the blurb.

In April of 1861, Kathryn’s life was forever changed. She stood by and watched as Benjamin, the man she loved, left for war. She was his constant anchor by providing him her support and love through letters. Their relationship stood through the first years of the war as she prayed for his safe return home. One battlefield in Pennsylvania would bring about a change in Benjamin to someone she didn’t know, someone who would break her heart.

Thaddeus Morgan is the President of the local bank and one of the few men who did not march into battle. He thought it best to stay with his mother after the unexpected passing of his father. When an illness strikes, he offers Kathryn a position at his bank while she waits for Benjamin to return. He is the perfect gentleman, making sure she is alright after her world comes crashing down.

How will Kathryn pick up the pieces of her life once the war is over? Will she forever be broken hearted? Will she move on? Or will she fade away like the life she used to have before the war?
