Book 9

They say write what you know... well I know softball. Most of my life was spent between those chalk lines with bruises documenting dedication to getting an out. I started writing this story but pushed it aside for Life in the Moments aka Book 8. Now, I'm diving back into Shelby and Winston's journey.
Shelby has the confidence to face the top hitting teams in the nation. She doesn't sweat the pitch count or her ERA. There's only one thing that shakes her rock-steady confidence and that's her British History class. Enter Winston Booth. His mission is to help Shelby bring up her grade so she can achieve her dream of playing in Oklahoma City at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.
I can't wait to see how their story plays out.

Little Known Facts

Little known facts about Life in the Moments.
*This book went through several name changes. I just wasn't happy with any of them until I wrote the prologue.
*It was inspired by my nephew's fight with MPS I as well as my aunt's fight with breast cancer.
*I set aside the book I was writing because all I could picture was Amelia and Beau's journey.
*I cried as I typed certain scenes. I even cried again when I edited them.
*A few scenes were inspired by songs.
*This was the first story of mine where I used flashbacks to tell Amelia and Beau's journey to falling in love.
*I kept the fact that Amelia was fighting breast cancer until it was time to release the blurb. I didn't want anyone to know until I was almost finished with the book.
*The idea of the book was inspired by a story I heard on the radio. The man's wife was sick and he's loved her at every stage of their lives. He gives her the list when she asked how he could love her.
*I originally didn't have the last sentence in the book. When I thought about it, the story needed that last line.
I hope everyone gets a chance to read it. Also, I am working on my next book, which I hope to get published early next year.
