Anniversary

5 years ago today, I published my first book, Cursed Soldier! It was a scary, but exciting experience. I can't believe the journey. I never dreamed I would publish 1 book, let alone 7.

Thank you for the journey and as promised here is my surprise, the title to book 8: Life in the Moments. I hope to publish it in October.

Legend

We're getting closer and closer to the 5th anniversary of Cursed Soldier. Here is another small scene from it. This was the first time Ben learns there's a legend surrounding the 'cursed soldier'.
"What legend? I don't think I've heard any legend about a witch during the battle." He said taking a drink of his water. He really needed this book now, and wondered if there was some way that he could convince her to let him read the book tonight.
"Oh just that she cursed the soldier that let her son die. Apparently, the soldier had watched her son die but had managed to kill the Yankee that murdered her son. The Confederate soldier was protecting a General, according the legend, but the General was never named so I don't know if that parts true. The witch claimed the soldier thought his life was better than her son's. She then cursed him to live forever." She stated finishing her food.
"Really, I don't think I have ever heard that legend." He said before finishing his food even though he wasn't hungry now. All he wanted to do was demand she take him to her house and let him read that book.
"Oh, it's not the first time that I have heard it. There is a book in the museum about the legends surrounding the battle, and it's in there too." She mentioned.
"I think I will have to get a copy of that book." He said hoping that she would take the hint and let him borrow it. He would bring it back after he had found his answer.
"Well, the one in the museum is the only copy known to exist as far as I know but you can borrow mine that I’m reading. I should be done with it this weekend since I have the house to myself." She said with a smile as the waiter bought them their check. They both reached for it at the same time.
