Left Hander Day!

Happy Left-handers Day! Here is a small scene with Shelby, the left-handed pitcher from Diamond Dirt.

She curved her fingers around the seams and circled her arm. She flipped her wrist to force the ball to dive down into the zone. As she released the ball, she saw Winston walking onto the field out of the corner of her eye.
It was easy to see him as she finished her motion due to how she turned her body. She breathed deep as he crossed the first base chalk line.
"It always looks as if you're hurting your arm," he said as he walked towards her.
"It's a natural motion," she said as she reached for another ball. "Your sister knows."
He smiled as he stopped beside the bucket. I don't really talk softball with Mia. It'll lead to a long conversation where I'll be lost most of the time. She likes to talk stats and players. Since I don't keep up with the sport, it's easier to talk about something else."
"You're poor sister. Does anyone talk softball with her?" she asked as she fingers the red seams. Running her fingers over the seams always calmed her.
:Our parents talk to her about softball. You're left-handed."
"You just now noticed?" she asked as she spun the ball in her left hand.
"I never noticed when you take notes."
