Writing a book always involves research. I love learning about the royals. My main girl, she doesn't like it, but that's okay. She has a tutor to help her out.

Falling for Cody Facts
So I forgot to post this but here are the unknown facts about Falling for Cody
*It was the easiest book I've written. Everything flowed with the outline.
*Cody's nightmares were inspired by real police/correctional officers nightmares.
*The memorial was inspired by the Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg. ...
*The putt putt date was never supposed to happen. In fact, I toyed with the scene to work on their banter, but I loved it too much to take it out.
*The car washing scene was inspired by a picture on Pinterest.
*This book was a sort of therapy for me. With all the police shootings happening, I couldn't find a good outlet until I sat down to write this book.

I hope everyone has had the chance to read it, but if not it is available on all the major platforms. My next book will be out either late this year or early next year. I haven't decided yet. It does have a name that I'll be releasing next week.

Small Scene
Since it's been a while, here is a little scene from my new book.
“I can’t believe you got her to swing at that last pitch,” Kieron said.
Shelby smiled as Kieron, her best friend and catcher, placed the ball in her glove.
“She can’t lay off the high ones,” Shelby said as she reached into her glove. ...
Running her fingers over the seams, she felt the dirt. It would provide her the grip she needed for her next pitch.
“I’m pretty sure that pitch was above her head,” Kieron said.
“Yeah, you did have to reach for that one,” Shelby said. “Sorry about that.”
“No problem, she struck out. I’ll do anything to catch strike three. Can’t give a base away,” Kieron said.
Shelby smiled until she looked past Kieron to the umpire.
“Ladies, one minute warning,” the umpire said as he walked towards the pitcher’s mound.
“Thanks,” Shelby said.
“Strike this girl out and we get to go home,” Kieron said before lowering her facemask.
Shelby watched as the umpire and Kieron walked back behind home plate. It took Kieron seconds to squat into position. The batter finally made her way towards the batter’s box. She’d been talking with her coach. The talk wouldn’t matter though. They were down to their final out and were down by five runs. Shelby wouldn’t let them score one more run let alone five.
It was time to end the game.

Paperbacks are in!
Paperbacks are in for Falling for Cody! I wanted to share this scene with everyone. This is one of my favorite scenes to write.
"Do you want the chocolate cake?" Maggie asked.
Cody shook his head as he shifted in the tiny pink chair. "Maggie, can we go to the big table in the kitchen?"
"No, this is my tea party table," Maggie said with her hand on her hip. "Now, do you want chocolate cake?"
"Did you or your daddy make it?" he asked, eyeing the invisible cake on the tiny blue plate with the matching teacups.
The tea set and table was a gift from him last Christmas. Of course, he never dreamed he would be a guest at one of Maggie's tea parties. He would have gotten the Batman set if so.
"I made the cake," Maggie replied. "Daddy can't bake a cake," she said.
"Good, I'll take two slices then," he said holding out his plate to her.
"Uncle Cody, a lady doesn't take two slices," she instructed him.
"Maggie, I'm not a lady. It doesn't agree with my constitution," he said.
"What's a constitution?" she asked as she put the pretend slice on his plate.
"I don't know, but it's something ladies have," he said setting his plate down. "You might want your daddy to buy more tea. I prefer Lady Earl Grey."
