Paperbacks are in!
"Do you want the chocolate cake?" Maggie asked.
Cody shook his head as he shifted in the tiny pink chair. "Maggie, can we go to the big table in the kitchen?"
"No, this is my tea party table," Maggie said with her hand on her hip. "Now, do you want chocolate cake?"
"Did you or your daddy make it?" he asked, eyeing the invisible cake on the tiny blue plate with the matching teacups.
The tea set and table was a gift from him last Christmas. Of course, he never dreamed he would be a guest at one of Maggie's tea parties. He would have gotten the Batman set if so.
"I made the cake," Maggie replied. "Daddy can't bake a cake," she said.
"Good, I'll take two slices then," he said holding out his plate to her.
"Uncle Cody, a lady doesn't take two slices," she instructed him.
"Maggie, I'm not a lady. It doesn't agree with my constitution," he said.
"What's a constitution?" she asked as she put the pretend slice on his plate.
"I don't know, but it's something ladies have," he said setting his plate down. "You might want your daddy to buy more tea. I prefer Lady Earl Grey."

Celebrate
Falling for Cody is edited and formatted! Two steps closer to publishing. Here is a small scene to celebrate.
"I really need you to start today, Lee. I'm running behind, and I can't have my mother on my case," April prayed as she closed her eyes and turned the car key.
Seconds later, the engine turned over as the car started.
"Oh thank you," she gushed. "I promise; I'll get your oil changed soon."

Hint
So I'm reviewing my outline for my new book and I had to share one tiny hint of a scene with you. Facebook has its moments and this was something I found funny when I read it. This scene has been with me for so long. In fact, it was the first thing scene I had for this book.
So here is the tiny hint of a scene. There is a spider in bathroom killed with gliter body spray.
I can't wait to write that scene and the rest of the book.
